Apparently, the bigone is gone. Does anyone have the URL for another digital root calculator which can be used on words/phrases?
-
Look for MultiCalc (http://www.gel.usherbrooke.ca/opusterra/Calculateur.shtml) (formely Alphaval). It does all you want (and more!).
It's available in both official languages.

THANK YOU!

Awesome... thanks

The link for the Palm version is broken. It should be http://www.gel.usherbrooke.ca/opusterra/Misc/GeoText.prc (http://www.gel.usherbrooke.ca/opusterra/Misc/GeoText.prc)

many thanks. i had no clue what to do with words i thought what you had to take each letter and make make it its number for 1 to 26 like a=1 b=2.... no wonder it never worked.

It's been my on-line DR choice for some time now.

He didn't tell me it was back online! Yay!

This one is interesting because it also does RDR (Reverse Digital Route)

The app is always working... ;)

My friend who created the bigstory one is planning to update it. I told him that it needs to work with French characters, but if there's anything else it needs he'd like to know.

Man would I love a Blackberry version!

I've used this one on alot of puzzle caches lately and and has features I'd never dreamed of. The correct results still rely on the human putting in the right data...
On my recent download, it's still called AlphaVal)

Anyone know of an Android app for doing digital root?
When I Google for it, I get all sorts of links on how to root your Android phone (I did that ages ago).
-
Don't look for Digital Root look for a geocaching tool app, that will include a DR calculator.

Android App GCC will do that and lots more :) Enjoy.

Guys, I've been working on some Ottawa puzzles and can't figure this reverse digital root process. I passed my High School math and use numbers on a daily basis, but man... I can't figure out RDR! Even google doesn't seem to know! Any help?
-
It only applies to alphabetic values, and is something typically done automatically by an app like Alphval http://www.gel.usherbrooke.ca/opusterra/Calculateur.shtml (http://www.gel.usherbrooke.ca/opusterra/Calculateur.shtml) on your desktop or GC Toolkit on your smartphone. For example:
Using the words "Test Phrase", if A=1, B=2, etc the digital root is equal to 5, but if A=26, B=25, etc the reverse digital root is 4.
I hope that helps....
