Adding an image to a cache description
« on: February 19, 2013, 11:15:18 »
Ok, Ok - I admit I'm a techno-dinosaur.
So I'd like to add an image that appears in the description section of a new cache that I am creating.
It's a .jpg file that exists on my hard drive.
I can add the file to the cache page, but people would have to click on the file name to see it.
All I have found so far is a HTML command "img src" which apparently requires a URL - I've tried it with the hard drive location and just get an empty box.
I expect that I'm overlooking something REALLY obvious (as usual).
BTW I may also have to adjust the size of image.
Help!

Add the image to the cache page. That will give you the URL you need to use with the 'img src' HTML code. You can also use HTML to play with the width and height.
Have a look at the tutorial at http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_images.asp

You can also use the Komposer software.  You will still need to upload the image you want to the cache page, then reference to it inside komposer.  But the nice thing about it is that it produces the HTML for you.

BTW, any software that produces HTML could do.
