Crashed Nuvi 255 - Cheap replacement advice?

My garmin Nuvi 255 crashed after I loaded a 500 query to it following clearing all my favorites. Seriously, 500 shouldn't be too many??? It crashed two years ago but miraculously worked about 6 mos later, only to crash again now. I need a GPS for car trips and geocaching, but don't want to pay more than $125 for a replacement. Advice? Thanks!

How about a Garmin 40Lm.  You could even try the Hock Shop, might get lucky.

Try doing a hard reset and erase on it..
Hold your finger on the bottom right corner of the screen and keep pressure there ans slide the start button on
Might take a couple of tries but if you do it right it will say do you want to erase your data
Choose yes this should fix it and make it operational again

Thanks! I was able to reset it as you directed, but you sure need quick reflexes to his Yes before it goes black again, Took a few tries, but it worked!
I had already bought a new one for my car. I find these car GPS's frustrating that as soon as I get close to a cache, the coordinate flag disappears altogether. Back to my old Garmin Rhino 110 for off road caches. Nice to have both. Now I have an extra for a buddy. Redundancy is good...
