What are the opinions concerning logging a cache?  While it seems to me to be an overreaction, I have read many logs which describe using sanitizer on/at the cache container or not touching the container.

Considering how many logs are black with mold the use of hand sanitizer on a regular basis is probably a good idea.

The virus doesn't survive for very long on surfaces, so if the cache hasn't been found for several days you're safe as houses. If you're STF today, yes, use the hand sanitizer by all means.
