Long distance FTF
« on: August 15, 2010, 19:42:43 »
I was making my way to New Brunswick this weekend and I somehow managed to get FTF in Ste Marc-du-Lac-Long, Quebec... over 550 km's from my home coordinates.

I'm sure this is not a record but I am still pretty pleased  ;D

I got a FTF in NB last summer driving back to PEI, GC1XDA4. Got to love FTF's far from home, it feels good to be faster then the locals  ;)

I love vacation caching! You're on the spot and ready to roll while the locals are still at work or going to bed!

I managed to get a FTF in PEI today. That's something as the crew out here are pretty keen, especially Model12's sister. The cache I found was put out by his brother-in-law, so they weren't competing.

Oh come now people!  The original poster just wanted to share his joy with the community only to be one-uped by other cachers with FTFs further away from home.

That being said…I got 2 FTFs in the same day and another 2 days later all of which were around 10470km from home (GC2383K, GC235MM, GC237ZB).  In this instance, I’m really glad to be quicker than the locals!

Yes and no... I was happy to share my joy but I love hearing about other cachers long distance FTF's.

Congrats to everyone.
