Cache worthy of 100th in west end (Kanata)?
« on: August 21, 2010, 13:40:06 »
Hello all,

My husband and I are 3 caches shy of our 100th milestone.
Ideally we would like it to be a memorable one. Hopefully not too hard to find (don't want to log a DNF), but rather "different", whatever that would mean.
Hint: we like hiking. Also biking, when the weather is nice.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Hello all,

As I was figuring out what 2 caches to do leading to the 100th one, I had the idea of making a Whereigo cache our milestone one. With the pretty bad weather looming tomorrow, we went out and did all 3 back to back.

Yay! we made it!!!!!!!! 100 caches!!!! Wow!!!!

So the winner cache was Hull D'antan by Valpin (in Hull). Highly recommended for a milestone cache to anybody else who likes to learn about places, likes to go for a nice yet not too demanding walk, wants to make sure it is not too hard yet memorable, and has a Whereigo player.

Thank you graciious and valspad for your suggestions. The party will have to wait for another milestone. I read Binthair's Missing Link description and it looks like an awesome milestone cache too. It will probably be on our shortlist for our 200th milestone cache candidates, unless we are too impatient and try it before that. The few Binthair caches I had seen so far were so complicated that I did not even know where to start, but this one looks like we would actually have a chance if we tried hard enough. That would be quite something to log a Binthair cache!

Now on our way to our 200th milestone. It should be a few months before we get there.
