My new all time favorite cache!

If any of you go down to the east coast, Moncton area to be more specific you have to try GC3057X Your Worse Nightmare! Mind you, do the whole series down the same road, well worth the effort. I have never seen such an EPIC setup for a cache! I had to share this, well worth the detour if you're in the area! :)

I agree entirely.

Critter has a number of intriguing caches on this road in the Sackville area. This is the same road that has the cache on the top of an unused utility pole. That cache is not by Critter but he actually placed it up there for the owner.

Well critter431 is at it again.  3 more intriguing ingenious caches in the Sackville NB area.  Take a look at the list of caches and the number of favorites they have earned. MY WORSE NIGHTMARE now has 39 votes.

They are great caches for tourists as they are next to the TCH for people heading for NS.

Like the logs say:  These are some of the best caches you will ever see.

I certainly do not want to bore you all with this topic, but Critter has a new cache

Here is what the cache page says

This is the most evil idea I have come up with to date.

When you get near the cache the first thing you will notice is that the ground is wet. Steet shoes are out, you will need waterproof footware. The container is smaller than a micro, but larger than a nano, and took me 20 hours to build. Please be very gentle when handling this cache. I am sure that you have never seen another cache like this and may never again...

When I see something like that in a cache description, it makes me think a cache won't survive long :

Quote
Please be very gentle when handling this cache.

And if you combine this with extreme camo (20 hours of work :o ), it's even worst.  How can people be gentle with a container they can't even see?  A fragile "puzzle box" inside another container could last if geocachers are nice and careful.  But a fragile container hidden in vegetation you have to walk through is very easy to accidentally destroy, maybe without even realizing it.

Sure, you can hide a nano disguised as a fake blackberry in a blackberry bush, but it's likely to get destroyed whenever a hungry bear or human starts rummaging through the bush... and asking people to be gentle on the cache page won't help  ::)

I heard that someone shot it, and that a cacher was not involved

I've not found any caches by this particular cacheowner, Critter431?, so I will not comment on his hides other than to say that a quick look at the cache page leads me to believe that I wouldn't enjoy them.

It sounds like an hour or more combing through the bracken looking for the cleverly disguised cache..... at least it's not a nano glued to a rock on the ground.

Actually NO

They are mostly not micros

They are close to the road and you usually can see them, and you have to figure out how to get it.

I will wait till next summer and see  what the next batch of caching tourists says about them.

Well we did the two newest critter431 caches today.  They are both up to his ingenious  standards.  Like all the others they should get a ton of favorites

On your next trip to the maritimes, be sure to exit 500 from the TCH in NB
