ACGA 5th Anniversary provincial geocoin set
« on: September 07, 2011, 07:58:15 »
The Atlantic Canada Geocaching Association is celebrating its 5th Anniversary this year and is commemorating the event with a new series of provincial coins.  The ACGA membership submitted designs and voted on the winning set.

These coins feature landmarks from each of the four Atlantic Provinces represented by the association.

New Brunswick
Hartland Bridge

Newfoundland and Labrador
Signal Hill

Nova Scotia
Peggys Cove Lighthouse

Prince Edward Island
Anne of Green Gables House

The coins will be available in antique nickel and a special "residents' edition" in satin gold.  The presale will run until Tuesday, September 13th and the coins will sell for $10.00 Cdn each.  All proceeds from the coins will go to the ACGA, as a registered non-profit association within the province of Nova Scotia.

Visit http://phdcoins.ca for more information.

Thanks.  Looks like cut-n-paste added some extra baggage.

Someone asked at ACGA  about having more of them minted and was told there would have to be a significacnt demand for that to happen.  Well it did happen.  So far 51 sets of 4 coins  have been requested. If you would like a set you have to order by 6 pm tomorrow by visiting this ACGA thread
